Disney mini album Part 2

Wednesday, December 27, 2017

Hopefully you already saw part 1 here. I split this album into 2 posts because I took so. many. pictures. As I said before, this may be my most favorite project EVER.

Next up is Animal Kingdom. We spent a lot of time at this park during this trip. My parents and brother had never seen it (they hadn't been to Disney in like 25 years so it wasn't open way back when).

We got a few character pictures when we had lunch at Tusker House.

I just attached ribbon for pull tabs on these.

I love this picture of my parents on the Marahajah Jungle Trek.

And then this pocket holds THE FUNNIEST PICTURE EVER!!! It's my mom on Mt Everest. LOL I really wish we had splurged and paid for this picture without the watermark, but oh well!

You have to take a picture of the Tree of Life when you're at Animal Kingdom. And I love the area  walking between Africa and Asia.

I captured this picture of Joe playing the drums in Africa. The safari part is a pocket.

I cut strips with hearts on the ends and attached them to these animal pictures.

Although we did go to Hollywood Studios for half a day, I literally took 1 photo (of a Darth Vader cupcake!) so I didn't include anything Hollywood Studios in this mini.

I had a few more Magic Kingdom photos I wanted to include:

We all love taking silly photos with hats on.

Behind the pocket is more pictures:

We got to watch the Main Street Electrical Parade one night, and of course we rode the Tea Cups.

I got this pic during the Wishes fireworks at Magic Kingdom.

Last but not least - a picture from Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom.

Thanks for checking out my Disney mini album!

Disney mini album Part 1

Wednesday, December 27, 2017

When Mom and I went to the Scrapbooking Expo in July, we took a Disney interatctive mini album class. In class, we just constructed the book and were walked through the instructions but we received tons of product to use to personalize it. I had a bunch of Simple Stories Say Cheese (1, 2, and 3!) so I changed up many of the pages to make it fit my photos.

This seriously might be my most favorite thing I've ever made. I'm sharing a ridiculous amount of pictures with you, so I'm sharing in 2 posts to make sure you don't have trouble loading the posts.. This album documents our Disney trip in April 2016.

The book closes with ribbon and that viewfinder reel spins!

The spine of the book:

Lots and lots of interactive pages here!

This was the best group photo with everyone outside the Magic Kingdom. Everyone starts at the Magic Kingdom, right?

The first thing we rode was Dumbo. We took this trip because I had told Dad I wanted to take him to Disney (he took me when I was a kid) after I graduated pharmacy school. He turned 60 last year, and it was my 10 year anniversary of graduating - perfect timing, right?

Joe and I always take a ton of selfies on Main Street. Who can resist that gorgeous Cinderella Castle in the background? That green part is one of our tickets. I attached ribbon to it and it slips into a pocket.

We watched the Festival of Fantasy parade and of course I got my nails did for the trip.

Next up was Epcot pictures. We went during the Flower & Garden Festival.

This is a page I modified from the instructions. I made a pocket instead.

I put the Garden passport and a few pictures in this pocket.

One night we at at Restaurant Marrakesh, which I think might be the most underrated restaurant at Epcot.

You have to take a picture of Spaceship Earth when you go to Epcot. Joe loves these giant sombreros in the Mexico Pavilion.

Look for Part 2 here!

December Daily Days 16-20

Friday, December 22, 2017

Last year I did this project daily, but I've been doing the pages in batches this year. That allows to make better use of photo paper (less waste!).

Day 16 - we went to Dollywood to look at the lights, see a show, and decorate cookies.

Day 17 - we hung out at the fireplace in the lobby of the Margaritaville Hotel and waited for the shops at The Island to open.

Day 18 - I finally wrapped a few presents!

Day 19 - new job!

Day 20 - fun new Bristol ornament

December Daily Days 11-15

Thursday, December 21, 2017

I'm loving this project and am so glad I decided to do it again this year.

Day 11 is all about mailing Christmas cards and packages. I had a ton to send out to my Rodan+Fields clients, a couple of eBay sales, and my Christmas cards.

I got this transparency really cheap as part of a Black Friday sale. I love it!

Day 12 is about our tree. I made the left page before December (inspired by Ali's Product Play class).

It's a mixture of circles - polka dot felt (I got it on clearance a couple years ago and knew I needed it!), Heidi Swapp embellishments, stamped and embossed circles, and twine/cardstock star circles.

I documented some of our favorite Christmas movies on Day 13.

Day 14 is all about Star Wars.

Day 15 documents all those cute Snapchat filters I love so much. I made the left page before December as part of Ali's Product Play class too.

I'm so glad I took the time to stamp and emboss these circles before December. Otherwise, they never would have made it into this album!
